Schools Savings Schemes
In partnership with City of Cardiff Council, we now have 20 participating schools offering a weekly School Savers' Club to their pupils. With Welsh Government support, we are also developing the project with new schools in Vale of Glamorgan.
Please see our list of participating schools to see whether your school has a savers' club, and let us know if you would like your school to join the scheme.
Local Hostels and Big Issue Cymru
We work closely with a number of hostels and support providers, providing information points and money surgeries, to help the most vulnerable in our communities become more financially included. Our partners include:
HMP Cardiff
In partnership with HMP Cardiff, we offer membership to Cardiff prisoners via a weekly savings club run by officers at the prison. The scheme is one of a small number set up nationally, aiming to encourage a savings culture amongst prisoners, helping financial literacy and reducing the risk of re-offending on release.
Rent Protect
In partnership with City of Cardiff Council, some local RSLs and private landlords, we are offering a pilot scheme for eligible tenants to have their income paid directly into an account with us, where their rent will be reserved and ring-fenced to be transferred directly to the landlord. Please visit our Rent Protect page to find out more.
Got an Idea?
We already work with a number of a wide range of community groups, Communities First and Families First associations, and are always happy to expand the community partners we work with. If you are involved with a charity, community group, church, employer or school who wants to work with us or find out more, please contact us.
