Cardiff Credit Union is registered under the Industrial and Provident Society Act 1965 [Register No 400c] and regulated by the Financial Services Authority under Firm Ref. No. 213467.

Cardiff Credit Union was established in 1994 for the benefit of employees of the former South Glamorgan County Council.  Following reorganisation of local government  in 1996, we were then able to offer our services to employees of the two new authorities - Cardiff Council and the Vale of Glamorgan Council.

In 2002, with the approval of the Financial Services Authority, we were able to extend the provision of our services to anyone who lives or is employed in Cardiff or the Vale of Glamorgan.  We are registered as Cardiff and the Vale Credit Union Limited but use Cardiff Credit Union as our trading name.
